SINGLE PROPELLERS FOR AQUAMATIC STERNDRIVE
Volvo Penta launched the first single propeller sterndrive more than half a century ago. Much has changed since 1959. Although technology continues to advance, one factor remains the same: real performance comes from a propeller and driveline that are perfectly matched.
Genuine Volvo Penta single propellers for Aquamatic sterndrive engines are developed exclusively for their propulsion system, perfectly matching the engine power and torque. The result is a proven design that guarantees optimal performance, fuel savings and comfort, along with the peace of mind you expect from Volvo Penta.
1. The perfectly matched pitch and cup distribution contributes to excellent propeller grip, optimal operating efficiency and safe, predictable handling.
2. The shock absorbing rubber bushings in the hub reduce rotational and thrust forces and minimise driveline stress caused by gear changes and propeller impact.
3. Precise balance produces minimal vibration and smooth, quiet operation. It is also essential for efficiency and minimises transmission wear.

3-blade aluminium propeller
With its wide and efficient blade design, this propeller delivers excellent acceleration and top speed. The state of the art compression casting process combined with a special high strength aluminium alloy makes it more resistant and durable than traditional die cast propellers. Four layers of paint guarantee outstanding anti corrosion performance.

4-blade aluminium propeller
The four blade propeller features the same strength and durability as the three blade propeller. Four blades provide greater torque for heavy loads and manoeuvrability along with excellent stern lift and mid range performance. Four layers of paint guarantee outstanding anti corrosion performance.

3-blade stainless steel propeller
This propeller improves top speed, acceleration and durability compared to other propellers. The blade configuration and through hub exhaust design are key factors for greater efficiency and performance. This high strength stainless steel propeller truly pushes the boundaries, making it a perfect choice for high power engines and fast vessels.

Aluminum propeller with long hub – High-speed series – 200-290 SP Drives
The high-speed propeller with long hub was developed from the standard propeller and features more blade area. For fast vessels, this means not only higher speed, but also that vessels with heavy loads can plane more quickly and enjoy better fuel economy. The increased blade area also provides faster and safer docking maneuvers.
Made from a durable aluminum alloy developed to withstand salt water and cavitation damage. Coated with epoxy powder, extremely hard and abrasion resistant. Long hub design with rubber hub that absorbs shocks. Note! Always use a long hub propeller for V6, V8, AQD40 and AQAD31/40/41 engines. Hub information: please note that a short hub propeller can be used on all the above drives, but a long hub propeller requires the drive to have a propeller shaft with internal threading intended for the cone locking screw. Aluminum propeller – Standard and high-speed series (100 drives)
The standard and high-speed propellers are made from a special, durable aluminum alloy developed to withstand salt water and cavitation damage. Painted black with a special epoxy powder that is extremely hard and abrasion resistant, the high-speed propeller features more blade area for higher performance.
Anodes
Volvo Penta anodes are specifically manufactured and tested for Volvo Penta drives and propellers, protecting the drive unit and propeller against galvanic corrosion. General recommendations and part numbers for anodes can be found in the Propeller Guide.
Grease for propeller components
Volvo Penta water-resistant grease is designed to provide excellent adhesion, water resistance and load-carrying properties, and long-term protection against corrosion. It is a highly recommended multipurpose premium grease for lubricating propeller shafts, folding propellers and all other propeller components. Double warranty on your parts
Original Volvo Penta parts and accessories are covered by our standard 12-month warranty. If supplied and installed by our nautical workshop, we will extend your warranty to 24 months, including labor.
